On Friday our 8th grade students registered at Amarillo College to take the TSI test so they can begin taking college classes next school year.

8th Grade Parents:
All 8th grade students in Sunray Middle School will be taking the Texas Success Initiative, or TSI, to see if they meet requirements to take dual-credit classes in high school.
This Friday, January 29, representatives from Amarillo College will be here in the middle school library at 1:30 to register our 8th graders for AC so they can take the TSI. Students will need their social security number and birthdate for the registration.
8th graders will be taking MAP training, which prepares them to take TSI, on February 5.
The TSI test will be given on Wednesday, February 24, on the middle school campus.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree and Special Education certification required
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong documentation skills
• Other duties as assigned
Responsibilities
• Provide specifically designed special education instruction in a multi-grade, multi-subject setting
• Evaluate and write IEP’s
• Complete and maintain special education documentation
• Knowledge and compliance of SISD curriculum
• Willingness to meet the unique needs of special needs students
• Work closely with all faculty and staff for the success of students

2020-2021 UIL Activity Calendar
On Monday January 11, 2021 Sunray ISD Administration hosted a workshop with representatives from WTAMU, Frank Phillips, Ovitra Biotechnology, Sunray ISD Vet Hospital Consultants and Collegiate Edu Nation CEO. The purpose was the workshop was the ongoing discussion of continued implementation of P-20 Model in relationship Animal Science, Veterinary Science and Embryo transfer as it relates to the Sunray Vet Hospital and Sunray Embryo Lab. With discussion being centered around the ongoing development of education and certification standards that will be available for all Sunray students once the Sunray Vet Hospital and Sunray Embryo Lab opens, projected in the fall of 2021.

Sunray High School is looking for a positive, highly motivated individual to work as a paraprofessional. The right candidate will possess the following qualities:
1. Has a high school diploma or GED.
2. Has acquired some college hours (not required but preferred.)
3. Is interested in becoming a certified teacher with support provided by SISD’s Teacher Academy.
4. Is bilingual (not required but preferred.)
5. Is flexible and willing to help where needed.
