High School One Act Play will be rescheduled to a later date due to fires in neighboring school districts. We will announce the date once it has been set and judges confirmed.
Softball is currently still on for 4:00 today. There will not be a JV girls game following.
Tomorrow’s softball games have been cancelled due to transportation issues.
The lady cats will play Dalhart Tuesday @ 4:00 in Sunray.
The boys games tonight in Fritch have been moved to JV boys at 6:15 and Varsity at 7:30.
Junior parents planning to attend the Class Ring Ceremony at 1:30 today please enter through the main entrance doors and then proceed to the auditorium.
There is currently a situation that local law enforcement and administration is monitoring. There has not been a threat made to Sunray ISD and Sunray ISD has not been identified as a target. As a precaution, local law enforcement will remain close to all campuses throughout the remainder of the day and will continue to monitor the situation.
With our Varsity girls basketball in a playoff game on Monday, February 12th, the school board meeting is rescheduled to Tuesday, February 20th at 7:00.

School Calendar Change: Monday, March 4, 2024 will NOT be an early release for parent conferences. School will be on a regular Monday schedule. This will help the district meet the state-mandated minute requirement. The Sunray and Sanford-Fritch communities are joining together to help our neighbors in Dalhart. We will not charge admission to the Sunray vs Sanford-Fritch basketball games on Friday, January 26, 2024. In lieu of admission, the Sunray High School National Honor Society and Student Council will be taking donations for the family of the Dalhart Principal that passed away this week. Both communities thank you for your support.
Junior Class Ring Ceremony will be held on February 12th at 1:30 pm at the high school.

Sunray FFA and ag teacher, Sandra White were awarded a Force of Agriculture Grant by the Texas AgriWomen - Panhandle Chapter. This money will be used to add aquaponics systems in the greenhouse so that Wildlife, Fisheries and Ecology Management classes can work with Greenhouse Operations and Horticulture classes to produce vegetables and farm-raised fish.
Sunray ISD will have a school board trustee election on May 4, 2024. There are two seats up for election. If you are interested in running for a trustee seat, please stop by the business office during business hours or use the link below for the application. The deadline to submit the application for a place on the ballot is February 16, 2024.
